Pamplona Cathedral archaeological excavations
The Cathedral of Pamplona is an impressive architectural ensemble and the largest complex of this nature in Spain, including a Romanesque palace, Gothic cloister and cathedral with a neoclassic façade of the 19C. The Archbishopric is carrying out archaeological excavations and several initiatives to promote and enhance good knowledge of the different values and significance of this important complex.
Restoration of the Cathedral's Fundación façade is currently taking place in association with Caja Madrid, the Archbishopric, the Town Hall and the Regional Government of Navarra.

L’église Saint-Eustache est construite de 1532 à 1640. Son plan est celui d'une cathédrale gothique, tandis que sa décoration est Renaissance. Avec ses 33,5 m de haut, 100 m de long et 43 m de large, l'église Saint-Eustache est considérée comme l'un des plus beaux monuments religieux de Paris. Au cœur d’un quartier nouveau, Saint-Eustache a une vocation particulière d'accueil, animée, depuis 1922, par des prêtres de l'Oratoire. Elle fut jusqu'en 1969 l'église des Halles, elle est aujourd'hui l'église du Forum, ensemble urbain complètement renouvelé. En 1213, un bourgeois de Paris, Jean Alais, fonda une chapelle dédiée à sainte Agnès, une jeune vierge de Palerme martyrisée à Rome au 4e siècle, à l'emplacement du chœur de l'actuel bâtiment. C'est la première mention connue d'une église à cet emplacement. En 1223, la chapelle acquit le statut d'église, puis devint église paroissiale en 1303, dédiée à saint Eustache, dont la basilique de Saint-Denis lui avait offert une relique. Entre 1434 et 1495, l'église fut agrandie, grâce aux marchands du quartier, et devint à cette époque l'une des plus grandes et riches paroisses de Paris. Mais il fallait encore agrandir l'édifice, et le 9 août 1532, Jean de la Barre, prévôt de Paris, posa la première pierre de l'édifice actuel.
